All our skis for 08 are in
the shop and on display. Hold them, flex them ... you know you
want to. New for this year is the mainstream emergence of the superfat
category. These are skis with at least 120 mm underfoot. Awesome
for the backcountry booter crew or those who otherwise spend a
lot of their time in soft snow. Will rule in the pow pow!
.
Keep yourself posted on avalanche conditions around
western Canada. The CAA is
a non-profit society promoting excellence in avalanche safety for
industry and recreation.

New for 08 is the upgraded Fritschi Freeride Plus.
Aimed at the fast skier whose emphasis in the backcountry is on
bigger turns and drops. It offers even better downhill power transmission
and rigidity thanks to the addition of the support frame under
the rear section of the titanal bar.
The Freeride Plus combats midski stiffness by
employing a "floating bridge" ... allowing for a more
natural flex of the ski.

A Fresh Approach. Fresh tracks. Fresh ideas. That’s
what Backcountry Access is all about. They've
proved that, with avalanche beacons, ease-of-use
is more important than range. They popularized Companion Rescue—with
light, integrated shovels and probes. And they
solved the winter hydration problem with their freezeproof Stash
packs.
