As skiers, we suffer through each winter with feet crammed into tough plastic shells, clamping down buckles to squeeze them as tightly as possible and wait for frostbite to overtake our toes. Be realistic about the type of boot you purchase - make sure the style reflects what you actually do on the slopes.
